Chelsea Odufu

Chelsea Odufu is a Guyanese–Nigerian American award-winning filmmaker and visual artist working across narrative and experimental film, video art, installation, and photography. Through Afrofuturistic imagery combined with archival material, she constructs layered narratives that interweave past, present, and future.

In 2024, New Afro presented the first episode of her satirical Afrofuturist series Black Lady Goddess in collaboration with Ciné Mayence, as part of the exhibition Restitution… et après? in Mainz (Institut Français).
