Francel Aris Dagbeto

Francel Aris Dagbeto is a Beninese painter whose work draws on nature, Beninese traditions, spiritual beliefs and everyday life. His paintings convey the cultural and symbolic richness of West Africa through vibrant colours and expressive forms.

In 2022, New Afro presented his work in the exhibition Rencontre in Mainz (Atelier Christiane Schauder), where he exhibited alongside Danish-Nigerian painter Benjamin Abana. The exhibition fostered a dialogue between artists of the African diaspora and contemporary African creators, reflecting New Afro’s commitment to connecting African and European artistic scenes.
