Ibaaku

Ibaaku, the Sonic Poet, is a leading figure in Senegalese electronic music, renowned for his innovative "soundscapes."
He explores the potential of audio and video through collaborative, interdisciplinary projects that merge with fashion and performance art. His music is both futuristic and steeped in tradition, bridging the gap between past, present, and future.

Ibaaku is deeply involved in Senegal’s cultural scene, co-founding the KENU Lab’Oratoire des Imaginaires in Dakar and the Miziku Tey Records label.
He has also been featured at New Afro’s exhibition "Restitution… und dann?", where his performances blend music with visual art.
