NÉO

NÉO is an Abidjan-based artist of Ivorian and French heritage. Her work explores themes of mental health, relationships and the human condition through vibrant, caricature-like figures.

In 2024, New Afro presented her series I Love My Solitude… but I’m Meant to Be a Lover at Kulturbäckerei Mainz. Her paintings depict everyday moments : drinking coffee, reading, or sharing quiet time with a pet or a plant, while emphasising self-love and emotional introspection.

Through her pink-toned characters, often portrayed with closed eyes, Néo creates gentle and contemplative scenes that invite viewers to pause and reconnect with their inner world.
