About the Artwork:
"I often find myself contemplating the mystery of my relationships, the way they seem to lack intensity, a depth I long for. Other people sometimes hurt me or make me feel like an outsider in their world. So I fashion an intimate relationship with myself, patiently weaving a cocoon of love and care. I give myself the affection I need, rather than expecting it from others. Today, I've learned to savor my own company, to cherish the solitude that envelops me. I find an almost supreme peace in this voluntary isolation. Yet deep in my heart, a pulse of desire echoes, a call to share, to vibrate in harmony with others."
